God's Workmanship

Noah's been home 2 weeks already! Feels like he's been in our family forever now. We love him so much! We are continually amazed at how well he's doing and incredibly thankful for this MIRACLE of adoption. We pray that we never take for granted this precious gift and how God has worked out all things according to His perfect plan. Forgive us, Lord, for doubting. Forgive us, Lord, for being afraid of the future. Continue to teach us every day to TRUST You completely.

This week was a busy week of doctor's appointments for Noah. On Wednesday, he went to the audiologist and passed his hearing test with flying colors. (Thank you, Lord!). Then on to the pediatrician for 5 immunizations (ouch!) and then to the lab for 4 viles of blood drawn (big ouch!) and urine samples. Yesterday was the lovely collection of the stool sample (not for the weak-stomached!). And today back to the pediatrician for the TB reading (it came back clear, thank you Lord!). They're testing for a plethora of diseases and stuff. We should hear results next week, I would think. We go back to the pediatrician on Wednesday.

A scripture verse I read this week really spoke to my spirit:
Ephesians 2:10 AMP: "For we are God's (own) handiwork (His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus (born anew) that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us (taking paths which He prepared ahead of time), that we should walk in them (living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live).

Isn't it amazing that Noah is God's workmanship!? God had Noah in mind before the creation of the world; created with a purpose to live an abundant life through redemption in Christ and bringing glory and praise to God. God knew every details of Noah's life before he even came to be. Noah is crafted in God's image and dearly loved by the Father. We can say the same thing for Anna, Rylee, Brent, me, and YOU. I pray that today we may embrace the fact that we are God's workmanship; that we would view ourselves as God sees us; and that we would live in the abundant freedom that Christ won for us when He conquered the grave!
