Monday

Exactly one year ago today, we were in Guatemala, and receiving Noah into our arms forever! I'll never forget all the excitement/ nervousness/ incredible celebration of that day! We had a quick trip, with an Embassy appointment then a visa appointment the next day, and flew back home on the 5th day. Saturday will be Noah's "Gotcha Day" celebration... the day we took him home (he was exactly 18 months). We are so blessed as we look back over the year and see how well Noah is doing. He's healthy, happy, well-adjusted, cute, sometimes-naughty, funny, and just such a natural part of our family. God is SO GOOD! We praise Him for his faithfulness and His perfect timing of bringing Noah into our family.

Today we celebrate with our friends, Steve & Julie Meyaard, who passed their court date in Ethiopia and will be traveling in 3-4 weeks to bring home their 4-year-old daughter, Myla Rut!

This past weekend was quite eventful... started off with Anna, Noah, and me getting the nasty stomach bug that's going around. Not fun, but thankfully only lasted 24 hours. Sorry to everyone else we passed it to! :(

Saturday we were feeling better and took the kids Cross Country skiing at Pigeon Creek Trails. What a fun family time. We were amazed at how well the girls did! Noah had fun being pulled behind in his sled.

These next pictures are just really random, but we wanted to capture all the funny faces that Rylee pulls for us each day. (Can you see why this girl is so hard to discipline!?) :)

Amy- what an amazing year it has been for your sweet family. We praise God for Noah and that he is home with his forever family. Jan 26th is a special date for us too- it was our first time to hold Luke in our arms. I love how our families have this special connection!
