Happy Gotcha Day, Noah!

Exactly one year ago today Brent and I were traveling home from Guatemala with Noah in our arms forever. Upon entering US soil in Houston, TX, Noah became a U.S. Citizen. We flew into Detroit and then drove home in a horrible snow storm, making it home about 9:00 or 10:00pm. So happy to have our son home at last! Praise God!!!

This past year has been full of so many amazing milestones. Noah has gained 7 pounds and gone from size 9-12 months to 18-24 months. Wahoo! :) He's learning to say some words, he can understand EVERYTHING and he can run, jump, and follow his sisters around all day! We are so incredibly blessed. In some ways, it seems like Noah has been in our family forever, and in other ways it seems like this past year just flew by!

Today is also Noah's 1/2 birthday, so he's 2 and 1/2 now. He has been seeing some therapists through Early On (Speech Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Occupational Therapy). Because of some of his delays, he qualifies for Special Education and when the kids turn 2 1/2 they transition into "Group" instead of the home visits from the therapists. So, Noah will be going to SCHOOL! He'll go to his class on Mondays and Wednesdays from 9:00-10:30 at New Groningen. It seems weird to be sending my baby to school!! I'll have to get some first day of school pictures!

How can we thank God enough for you, Noah!?
