The annual family picture in front of the Christmas tree!
We enjoyed a wonderful Christmas together. Brent didn't have to work Christmas eve, Christmas, or New Year's for the first time in about 5 years. So, we're very thankful to have some quality family time. We're enjoying the snow and having tons of fun with the girls. Also, making all the final preparations for when Noah comes home.... getting SO excited! Hopefully next week (or the following) we'll find out our travel date, which will probably be mid-to-late January.
Looking back over the past year, we see so many things to be thankful for. God's faithfulness is truly new every morning. We're thankful for sucessful surgery for Brent's dad, and for Anna, thankful for health for Noah, thankful for the peace that we have in Christ. Even through the hard things this past year (death of a great-nephew, pastor Tim & Keith leaving Haven, possible health issues for Noah, adoption delays)... we still give thanks. God has taught us more than ever to rely 100% on Him. He has it all completely in His control. And God is certainly good... ALL the time (in good times and in bad times). We will praise Him for what He has done this past year and look forward to the blessings in store for 08! May we all keep our eyes fixed on Jesus as we enter into the new year!
