Busy Weekend!

We had a great, but very busy weekend. It started with a trip to the Aquatic Center Friday night. It was fun to see Noah enjoy the water (I think he likes the wading pool much better than our deep pool) and the girls, of course, tried the water slides and obstacle course!

Then on Saturday morning, we went out to Camp Geneva where the girls participated in a kids' triathlon. Rylee had to swim a lap in the big pool, bike 1/2 mile, and run 1/4 mile. She did so great! (finished 10th out of 17 in her group). Anna had to swim a lap, bike 1 mile and run 1/4 mile. She, too, had a ton of fun and finished 8th out of 25. I think they're following in their Dad's footsteps! They just loved it and we all had so much fun. Noah had fun cheering them on, too! They got participation ribbons, t-shirts and water bottles and are already talking about doing another triathlon! This was the first one (sponsored by Geneva, Cross Country Cycle, and Park Township) and it was extremely well attended (about 100 kids, maybe?). Very fun!

Saturday night we were supposed to go to the Whitecaps game, but the weather was iffy and then our neighbors invited us over for a bonfire, so we decided to stay home and do that instead. Well, it ended up raining the whole time, but that didn't stop our bonfire! We all hung out in our neighbor's garage with the portable fire pit in her driveway. In between showers, we stepped outside to roast marshmallows. Nobody's going to rain on our fun!
Sunday was a special day filled with graduation open houses and ended with 9 of our students making profession of faith! It was a really special and meaningful service. Brent helped me put together a power point which included all of their testimonies, photos that one of my students took, and a favorite song from another.

I praise God for His love Story that He's writing, and for allowing us to have a part in it!
