Fall Pictures

Here are a couple of pictures that Terp took of our family today. (Dexter had to be in the pictures, because of course, he's a part of our family, too!)

Friday night we had some fun carving pumpkins with the Bannach's. 6 kids & 6 pumpkins. We were way outnumbered! We had a lot of fun, though!

Just a quick update on the kids. Anna is doing better at school. Slowly but surely getting used to it. Thanks so much to those of you who have been praying for her!

Noah had his first ear infection of the season; I took him to the ENT last week and found out he has major fluid build-up in his ears, causing significant hearing loss. He will have tubes put in his ears... November 2. We're hoping this will really help not only his hearing, but then also his speech. Otherwise he's doing great. Such a joy! He loves going to school each morning and is doing great!

Rylee's doing great. Loving life, full of laughs. I wanted to record a couple of cute saying from each of the kids; they say the craziest things sometimes and I just don't want to forget.
Anna says "swand" for swan.
Rylee says "purt" instead of put.
Noah says "moon night" for moon. (from Goodnight, Moon book).

We're so thankful for our children and the blessing and joy that they are. Sometimes it's so refreshing and therapeutic to see the world through their eyes, or to simply laugh and play with them. .

I won't get into details, but there have been some really tough issues that both Brent and I have been working through with our jobs. Many hurting people that we love and care for; it's such a broken and sinful world. Sometimes it gets very overwhelming and we just don't know what to do. But a verse that was shared with me last week so spoke to my heart: Hebrews 13:8 "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever." There is so much comfort knowing that, even though we don't understand why there is so much pain in the world, we can rest in God's sovereignty, knowing that He has it all in His hands... and that Jesus is the same forever. And He is all we need!
